Goldsmith Manor lies in the remote, mountainous north of the planet Astradeia.

A vast estate encompassing rugged, snowy peaks and industrial ruins, Goldsmith Manor has been in the Goldsmith family for as long as anybody can remember. At its heart stands the manor house itself: a sprawling, cold abode where Franz Goldsmith, the reclusive walruthian and the Milky Way Galaxy’s most wealthy man, lives alone, spare for his duneracer companions, Crowns and Grills.

Once a powerhouse of industry, over the centuries Goldsmith Manor cycled through empires of extraction: first mining, then refinement, then energy, then war. Today, however, the lands that encompass Goldsmith Manor lie dormant, its mines collapsed, and the factories ruined or buried beneath the avalanches; yet once a year, it’s said, certain individuals are summoned to the manor – known in underworld circles as the Lion’s Den – on matters of great and terrible business.
